The Freedom of Information Act 2000 obliges the practice to produce a Publication Scheme. A Publication Scheme is a guide to the ‘classes’ of information the practice intends to routinely make available.
This scheme is available from reception.
Access to Medical Records
Patient that wish to have access to their coded medical record can apply in writing to the practice. For your convenience a form is available at reception. Once you have completed the form you will need to bring it in to the practice with photographic identification so we can be sure you are getting access to the correct record.
Please note that in exceptional circumstances the practice has the right to deny access.
Once the GP has granted permission for you to have access you will be given a login (the same login you use to order online prescriptions and book online appointments) and a passcode. You will then be able to access all coded entries. Please note this does not give you full access to your whole medical record.
Contractual Requirement
All GP Practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GP's working to deliver GP services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Parkside Medical Centre in the last financial year was £98,430 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 4 full time GPs, 1 part time GPs and 0 Locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months.
